Using Cakewalk

Cakewalk helps homeowners post renovation projects and contractors provide private estimates. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for deciding whether to contact, hire, or work with another user.

Estimates and agreements

An estimate submitted through Cakewalk is for comparison purposes and is not a contract. Cakewalk is not a party to agreements between homeowners and contractors and does not guarantee pricing, availability, workmanship, licensing, insurance, or project outcomes.

Text messaging terms

If you separately opt in by checking the SMS consent box, CakewalkBids may send transactional text messages about your account, projects, estimates, and messages, including estimate confirmations, new-message notifications, forwarded project conversation messages, scheduling, and project follow-up. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again (reply START). Reply HELP for help. Consent to texts is optional and is not a condition of purchase, and is not required to post a project, submit an estimate, create an account, or use website messaging. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See how text opt-in works.

Acceptable use

Do not use Cakewalk to mislead others, impersonate someone, send unlawful or abusive content, violate another person's privacy, or interfere with the service.
